Cirrus House, Inc is a multi-service not-for-profit 501 C-3 organization that provides support, advocacy, programs and services for people affected by a mental illness. We offer advocacy, housing and opportunities for employment and education. Through an environment of mutual support we focus on improving independence and quality of life for people living with a mental illness throughout the Nebraska Panhandle.
Mission Statement: Cirrus House, Inc. is a multi-service non-profit 501 C-3 founded in 1984 to provide support for persons with mental illness outside of clinical settings. The mission of Cirrus House, Inc.is to promote quality of life and independence for people living with mental illness in the Nebraska Panhandle by providing advocacy and opportunities for housing, employment, and education. Most importantly we promote a strengths-based, peer-supported community where members can find belonging, purpose, and encouragement working side-by-side with staff and other members. We are CARF-Accredited and therefore we are recognized among an international community of programs and agencies delivering superior standards of care and providing excellence in outcomes. Work! It’s What We Do… has a double meaning. Our programs focus on self-sufficiency and the use of WORK as a catalyst for rehabilitation and long term success. This focus also WORKS as proven by university research, evidence based practices and superior outcomes.[i]
