Haymarket Center is a non profit organization in Chicago that provides alcohol and drug rehab program. The Mission of Haymarket Center is to aid people with chemical dependency in their recovery by providing professional care. Care for drug and alcohol rehab is affordable and can be free for people who cannot afford to pay.
Programs include, DUI, Men's Detox Phase I and II:
Men who regularly experience problems with alcohol and/or other drug abuse or dependency may be referred by their families, by police or by other agencies to the Detox Unit at Haymarket Center. Located at 120 N. Sangamon, in the McDermott Center. It offers a stay of 24 hours or less,
Women's Outpatient Services, offered at another location.

Intensive Outpatient Program:
The Intensive Outpatient Program is a full-scale outpatient substance abuse treatment program for adult men and women. It specializes to Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) referred patients, and is an approved Illinois Department of Human Services/ Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (OASA) DCFS Initiative site. Patients from the residential programs are also referred to this program as a step-down in the continuum of treatment services.
The Program focuses on assisting patients to develop life skills to regain stability in their lives, and to build a foundation based upon recovery. Clinically-managed interventions are directed by certified treatment professionals trained in gender specific and culturally sensitive treatment services, to address patient's individualized needs to develop and apply recovery skills.
Through educational lectures, therapeutic groups, and individual 1:1 sessions, patients are encouraged to learn and make lifestyle changes necessary to overcome barriers to recovery and problems that precipitate relapse while living in their neighborhood community. Treatment services also include outreach, intervention services, medical/psychiatric linkages, knowledge of the 12-step self-help recovery network, case management services, aftercare planning, and HIV/communicable diseases education, testing and counseling.
The program provides funding for daily transportation to/from the treatment location and on-site childcare for children under the age of 5 years old.
Program Location: The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an OASA licensed ASAM Level II.1- IOP program is located within the licensed health care facility of Haymarket Center.
